TV LICENSING LETTERS

Updated: Sep 3, 2020

From today the BBC are sending out a letter and application form with regards to the over 75's free TV licence.

The NPC would like, as part of the next stage of our TV licence campaign, for you to tell us your experiences of dealing with this application form and letter.

All viewers aged 75 and over who had qualified for a free licence will have to pay as of the 1st August, unless they are on Pension Credit.

Around 900,000 people receive the benefit, yet it is estimated 1.5 million more could be eligible but do not claim. In total, 3.75 million people will have to pay the fee.

From today the BBC are sending out a 16-page letter and application form with regards to the over 75's free TV licence. The NPC would like, as part of the next stage of our TV licence campaign, for you to tell us your experiences of dealing with this application form and letter.  Comments or stories would potentially be used as real life cases in media and campaign information. We would of course use any comments with permission and anonymously. Should you wish, you can send your experience to us via email  to info@npcuk.org or leave us a telephone message on 020-7837-6622.
