The NPC Greater London Region will be holding a protest on Thursday 8th December, the day that the Office for National Statistice release the figures for 'Excess winter mortality in England and Wales'.
Cold homes kill and the effect of the cost-of-living crisis has seen the worst drop in living standards since 1956. On top of this, the current Energy Price Guarentee will see the average household on a typical fuel bill pay £2,500 per year and this is set to increase from April 2023 to £3,000. Pensioners generally pay more due to being at home more and using more heating.
