The NPC has been supporting an online petition opposing the government’s decision to use the Consumer Price Index rather than the Retail Price Index as the measure of inflation for uprating pensions and benefits. Now that the petition has passed 100,000 signatures it is hoped that a debate will to take place in the House of Commons.
